Before descending into the Dover Street's subterranean splendour, you
could be forgiven for thinking you were about to step into an old-style
jazz bar: low-ceilinged and cramped. In fact, the interior is open-plan
and welcoming, with soft lighting and light-wood floors that give the
restaurant the sensation of space whilst retaining its cosy, intimate
feel.
The menu is French-Mediterranean fare at its best. Foie gras sits
alongside venison, scallops, melt-in-the-mouth kleftiko and wild
mushroom risotto on the à la carte menu, or you can choose from the
two-course 'party menus'. The presentation is exquisite, the service
faultless, and attentive and knowledgeable staff are always on hand to
discuss the extensive wine list.
The mixture of jazz and fine cuisine combines to give Dover Street Restaurant a unique atmosphere of laid-back elegance.
Dinner is served from 6pm onwards during the week, and 7pm on weekends,
