Who Made Who
At the Benicassim Music Festival, Danish rock band Whomadewho dazzled the crowd with their rare type of music. This Danish threesome, which has ascended from the depths of underground obscurity, is now squarely in the forefront of the minds of those folks who attended the festival. Onlookers raved about both their musical style and the fact that they bring a unique brand of energy to the table.
This band has been around since the summer of 2003 and they have built a strong fan base since that time. Their style is a smooth combination of rhythm and strong lyrical sound. It is difficult to put a description on the type of music that they played at Benicassim, because it was unlike anything else heard at the festival.
One of the most unique things about Whomadewho’s performance at Benicassim was that they were able to stylishly combine their music with the dancing and performance element of their show. Unlike many other bands, this trio was adept at both dancing and singing. Both aspects of their performance stood out on its own level, but the band maintains that it is a musical act first and foremost.
Whomadewho seemed to be singing and reaching out to the post-20 crowd that was in attendance. Unlike many of the pop and rock bands who pander to the younger generation, this group knows that older people enjoy a good brand of music, as well. Their semi-emotional tunes were well received by those in attendance.
In short, Whomadewho put on a performance that showed off the best of what has made them a popular band among underground fans. The combination of smooth lyrics, eclectic music, and entertaining dance moves helped to make Whomadewho one of the best acts to take the stage at Benicassim. The Danish trio hopes to ride the momentum of that performance to greater heights, pushing forward their new album that will once again expose their excellent style.
