Kings of Leon

At the 2007 Benicassim Festival the Kings of Leon amazed a huge audience with their spectacular performance. On the closing evening of the Benicassim Festival: an annual festival filled with dancing, fun, and rock and roll; the Kings of Leon was joined with other awesome bands like Muse, Animal Collective, Amy Winehouse, The Hives and Calexico, and UNKLE all performed on stage and gave memorable performances on July 22, 2007.

The members of Kings of Leon are three brothers and their cousin heralding from either Tennessee or Oklahoma.  Caleb Followill, Jared Followill, Matthew Followill, and Nathan Followill started their entertainment careers with country music; and with the assistance of Anthony Patraglia, the Kings of Leon reshaped and redefined their style of music into southern rock/indie style.  Establishing a solid presence in the music industry since 2000, the Kings of Leon rocked the fans at the festival with ease.  Playing a variety of songs from three of their albums, the Kings of Leon played Four Kicks and as the performance progressed, the entertainment excitement increased in intensity.  The band even had fans join them in singing Molly’s Chamber.

The band gave a lively, incredible performance; fans of the band were not disappointed. Sipping drinks and lounging in a variety of resorts readied the band for the strenuous performance, one where they really rocked the crowd.

Performing on the main stage, the Kings of Leon played a wide assortment of their musical offerings on Sunday evening.  Such was the excellence of the band’s performance at the 2007 festival that they noted an increase in their chart ratings in the days that followed.  The dedication and passion of the band’s music is attributed to their development and the future looks promising for the Kings of Leon.
