Fancy
Fancy are a band who could easily be gracing the pages of the UK music press. Just look at a couple of photos of the band and see the explosion of hair and tight trousers and you know that they could be one of the coolest bands you have ever seen..
Hailing from the
outskirts of Paris, Fancy decided against following the more electro route of fellow French groups like Air. Instead
they opted for a primal rock sound that would have Karen O nodding in approval,
but like the Rapture they manage to keep a beat that would make them a hit at
any indie disco. They have already supported the likes of the Rapture and TV on
the Radio as well as French icons Daft Punk at Dublin’s Budrising
Festival. Their appearance at the Eurosonic festival along with the release of
the fantastic Seventeen EP will hopefully allow the name of Fancy to travel
across the water to Britain.
