Situated just a stones throw from Trafalgar Square, YO! Sushi (Haymarket) is a techno-lovers delight. One of the company's flagship restaurants, it is sleek and stylish, with Apple iPods in listening booths, robotic drinks dispensers, and walls of plasma screen televisions; all of which provide a bright and trendy atmosphere in which to eat. As always though, it is the food that sets this restaurant apart. Based on the traditional Japanese 'kaiten-zushi' style sushi bar, a long conveyor belt snakes around the restaurant, carrying colour-coded dishes. Each dish is priced between £1.50 and £5; simply pick the dishes that appeal to you and enjoy, and at the end, the number and colour of empty dishes is totalled up to make your final bill. Unlimited miso soup is also on hand at only £1.50. The fish and seafood are beautifully presented and fresh, and YO! Sushi's menu provides a wide range of hot options too: from soups and noodle dishes, to chicken, beef or vegetable tempura and teriyaki. The service is fast and friendly, and YO! Sushi's staff are always on hand to help newcomers through the menu. Sake, Japanese beers and champagne are all available; and unlimited water and green tea is available for only £1 in order to quench any wasabi-induced thirst. The restaurant operates a daily promotion between 3-6pm where every dish off the belt is £2. Find YO! Sushi at 57 Haymarket, opposite Burberry's, or click on www.yosushi.com/consumer for more information. |
