Muse

Muse brought the vibrant and thriving four-day Festival Internacional de Benicassim, or FIB, to its close on July 22nd. The Devonshire trio, led by front man Matthew Bellamy, is known for their great live shows. The show was most impressive and atmospheric as massive screens projected a computer-altered version of the live feed with graphics mutating the image of the band. An excellent use of lighting added to the overall feel, assuring fans that even at an outdoor festival, Muse puts on the technologically impressive show for which they’re known.

Muse played a full set at Benicassim, starting with the “Knights of Cydonia.”  Other catalog favorites in their FIB lineup ranged from “Supermassive Black Hole,” “Invincible,” and “Starlight,” to “Plug in Baby.”  The 60’s classic “Feeling Good” had Matt Bellamy at his piano.  The skill and talent of Muse was clear in their clean and polished onstage performance as fans screamed from start to finish. Fans lucky enough to experience Muse’s performance on the closing night of the 2007 Benicassim festival will surely be back for future shows, whether on the summer festival circuit or otherwise.
