Klaxons glam it up

Klaxons are planning to go into the studio with Tony Visconti in 2008 to work on their new album, they have revealed. The acclaimed "nu-rave" act, who won the Mercury Prize for their debut "Myths Of The Near Future", have been planning a follow-up.

It seems Visconti, famed for his work with David Bowie and T-Rex, will be helming the recordings, after a successful initial meeting recently.

Speaking about the plan, Klaxon James Righton explained: "At the end of February we're going in the studio with Tony Visconti to do a couple of tracks.

"He's just a lovely man. He came along to a few of our New York shows and was interested, so we're gonna try him out."

Klaxons plays two shows in London this week, kicking-off this evening at Brixton Academy.
